SHOESday: summer! finally summer!

The arrival of December means summer has now officially started – and with it, finally, some warm weather! Huzzah!

And that means I can break out the summer slippers! I know, they’re thongs, but they are slipper thongs. In red! With a flower! But of course!

  1. Slipper thongs? In red!?? I must have some. I am always on the hunt for the right footwear to wear around the house. TELL ME NOW!ps I am chuckling at how all the Americans are going to laugh at the idea of ‘thongs’ on your feet.

  2. Oh, cute, cute, cute! (And is that grass real? It’s so thick!)

  3. They are so cute. I sit here looking enviously at them as I am wearing thick wool socks and a sweater. I miss the warm weather and winter hasn’t started yet. There are places where those kind of shoes are called thongs but Bells is right. When I hear the word thongs, footwear is not what I think of first!

  4. I guess it depends on where in the US you live – Michigan has a very beach-y culture and I’m sure I’ve seen them in the ads as thongs. But I grew up calling them flip-flops. 🙂

    Absolutely and completely adorable!

  6. These are so cute! But they look far to elegant to have either of the words ‘slipper’ or ‘thong’ attached to them!

cute, and patriotic even…that flower looks like a waratah! thongs are high class shoes these days you know, everyones wearing them…

Nice thongs. It’s great to be able to wear thongs but it also mean the extra work of painting the nails.

  9. Loooooovely! Wish I could wear some now! Everything frozen outside and people are trying to defrost their cars…

Those are so cute. I love the flowers! Of course, we’re wearing boots over here…
